Only recently have many companies realized the importance of comprehensive employee preparation and training prior to a foreign assignment.

More and more employees and their families are experiencing legal difficulties of a civil or criminal nature while working, living and traveling abroad. Criminal law problems can arise from both business matters and personal conduct. According to the U.S. Department of State, nearly 10,000 Americans have been arrested abroad in the last three years. Thousands more were detained from periods ranging from a day to a week or more. Many of these arrested were charged with business type offenses, including contractual disputes and fraud.
